Visit Florida Tech

    Pete the Panther
Throughout the year, we offer Daily Campus Visits for all prospective students on most weekdays. Daily campus visits include a Campus Walking Tour, Information Sessions, Academic Department Meetings, and more. We encourage all prospective students to visit campus.

    Campus Tour
As part of your visit, you will be guided by one of our Student Ambassadors through our beautiful sub-tropical campus. Visiting campus give students a chance to experience student life through the eyes of a current student. You will be able to envision yourself as a “Florida Tech Panther” relaxing in our beautiful botanical gardens, learning in state-of-the-art science and engineering facilities, and using the latest technologies in the Digital Scholarship Lab.

At the end of the 10 AM campus tour, engineering students have the opportunity to tour the Harris Student Design Center. This center serves the College of Engineering and Science students working on projects from freshman to senior design. Current Florida Tech students have access to advanced tools, such as virtual reality simulators, CNC machines, soldering stations, electronic programming tools, waterjet, plasma, and laser cutters and engravers.

Campus tours are offered at 10 AM, 11 AM, and 2 PM on most weekdays.
    A typical tour includes visiting:

    • Classroom
    • Residence hall (dorm)
    • Evans Library
    • Various campus buildings
    • Panther Dining Hall

    Information Session
These meetings cover a variety of topics including academics, campus life as well as the admissions and financial aid processes with one of our Admission Representatives. This is a chance for you to ask Admission Representatives any questions you have about the university. One-on-one meetings with Admission Representatives may be available depending on visitor traffic and holidays.

Admitted Students can attend an Admitted Student Day to learn more about the enrollment process. That day will offer a "Next Steps" presentation as well as events geared towards admitted students. Invitations will be emailed directly to the student starting in early 2020.

Transfer applicants will meet individually with a Transfer Admission Staff in most cases. The transfer application process may vary depending on the number of transferable credit hours and the planned major. Transfer applicants are welcome to make private appointments with their counselor.

Graduate applicants are encouraged to determine a program of interest and research in advance of scheduling the visit. The admission office will do our best to set up a visit with a professor that aligns with your interest.  Explore our website to find a professor who shares your research interests. Graduate students are welcome to schedule a visit through the visit link.
